My IR keypads are not showing the correct number on the screen
Solution 1 – your IR receiver is incorrectly set up, i.e. it should be set to programmable ID but is actually set to fixed ID.
- Check your receiver settings by clicking on the lightning bolt icon on the TurningPoint toolbar. You should see a summary screen which describes your receiver.
- If the receiver reads Fixed ID then follow steps 3 – 5. If the receiver reads Programmable ID, then see solution 2 (below).
- Click on Change range/Channels.
- Right click on the words ResponseCard Fixed ID and choose Programmable ID from the menu.
- Click Next and then run a polling test to check the fix has worked.
Solution 2 – An IR keypad may not be correctly programmed, i.e. the label on the ResponseCard showes it to be number 27, but the ResponseCard has phically lost this identity. To correct this, follow the steps below:
- Hold down * and 6 on the keypad, until the LED goes solid red.
- Type in the number you weant the keypad to become. For example, to reprogram the keypad to number 27, press 2, then 7.
- Press *. The LED should flash three times
