Using the vPad opens up new possibilities with the use of a keyboard.
Audience members have a copy of vPad on their notebook computer, PDA or desktop PC or Mac. From the presenter's perspective, using vPad is the same as using any other response device.
Instead of just having multiplechoice options, you can ask your audience open-ended questions, and the answers can be anywhere from one word long to an entire essay. This is a great way to use TurningPoint as it moves away from the traditional right and wrong answers and instead encourages your class to debate and share opinions.
A simple keyword tool can help presenters evaluate the open-ended responses. Participants who need further clarification can communicate with the presenter via vPad's text-messaging feature.
In order to use vPad, the presenter's computer and all participant devices must sit together on a wired or wireless network.
vPad software can be downloaded from our Resources Area.
